In this course sessions we will cover and offer the following:
Step-By-Step Medical Coding
The focus of this class is learning the coding rules for the CPT, ICD-10-CM, and Level II (HCPCS) coding systems and then applying the rules to code patient services. In addition, a variety of payment systems is presented. The medical topics of Medicare fraud, HMOs, and QIOs are also reviewed.
Medical Exam Prep Review
This course will assist individuals in their preparation for a physician-based or facility-based certification examination. The process of preparation on one’s own can be a daunting task, and a course is an excellent way to work collaboratively with a group of individuals who are also preparing for the certification challenge.
